TUITION ASSISTANCE (Reimbursement)

To help their new hires, there are local nursing home facilities that will reimburse the tuition payment you made if You become their employee. It is tax-free and may be made to you in 1 to 4 payments, but you have to ask at the time of interviewing if the facility takes part in this program. Additionally, there are facilities that will pay for your tuition upon a successful employment interview.

TRAINING PLAN

Flu vaccination is not mandatory but the school advises that students consider vaccinations in
preparation of working in the healthcare field. Masks are optional.

We’re excited to announce that the NAC (Nursing Assistant Certification) training program is returning to fully in-person classes — because nothing beats learning face-to-face when it comes to mastering hands-on healthcare skills.

Why settle for watching lectures on a screen when you can experience them live, ask questions in real time, and practice skills with expert instructors right beside you? In-person training helps boost confidence, deepen understanding, and keeps our state skills test pass rates strong.

What to Expect:

• 17 to 18 class sessions over approximately 4 weeks
• Optional CPR class on Day 18 (if needed)
• 40 hours of clinical training in a healthcare facility
• One final 4-hour skills lab to prepare for testing

After completing all training hours, you’ll be eligible to schedule your state skills test. Once passed, you can apply for the state written exam — the final step toward becoming a certified Nursing Assistant.

Important: When registering for the program, be sure to apply for your NAC license to receive your credential number for testing. You can begin the process at www.doh.wa.gov. The license will activate once both exams are successfully completed.
